KLKN-TV in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking a full-time Content Manager to lead the newsroom, shape editorial vision, and drive daily operations across broadcast, streaming, and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a passion for journalism, team building, and audience engagement. The Content Manager will develop and execute impactful content across all KLKN platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in broadcast television or journalism.
• 3–5 years of experience in television newscast writing and producing.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Oversees day-to-day management of the KLKN and KBSI newsrooms.
• Help guide the newsroom's daily editorial coverage across broadcast, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
• Lead or help lead editorial meetings that encourage strong ideas, thoughtful discussion, and a clear plan for the day.
• Support, coach, and develop news producers, digital producers, anchors, MMJs, and other newsroom team members.
• Help direct breaking news, severe weather, and major event coverage across all platforms.
• Partner with the Executive News Director to make sure important news reaches audiences quickly and effectively wherever they are.
• Review scripts, rundowns, and digital content with a focus on accuracy, fairness, clarity, tone, and viewer impact.
• Lead the station's efforts to create, manage and grow a stronger user-generated content community via the NOW Local News App.
• Communicate clearly and calmly during busy, high-pressure moments.
• Collaborate with news leadership and other departments on newscast style, coverage plans, audience growth, and station priorities.
• Fill in as Producer, EP, as needed.
• Manages the team's schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.
