KNOE-TV/Gray Media is looking for an outstanding reporter to join our award-winning team in Monroe, LA. The successful candidate searches for unique stories, writes and edits engaging content, and presents live shots during day-to-day and breaking news coverage.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree in journalism, experience in multi-platform reporting with shooting and editing, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining high journalistic standards.

Qualifications

• A college degree in journalism or related field.
• Experience in multi-platform reporting, shooting, and editing is preferred.
• The ability to solve problems independently when under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop sources and present ideas daily for our audience in line with strategy.
• Write accurate and engaging scripts for broadcast, digital, and social media.
• Schedule, conduct, and shoot interviews and edit video.
• Respond to breaking news coverage.
• Report live on digital/social media and during newscasts.
• Apply strong journalistic ethics, news judgment, and decision-making daily.
• Utilize digital and social media in news gathering and presentation.
• Maintain strong organizational skills for efficient workflow.
• Work independently and as part of a team; meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Cover various shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
