University Television at University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a Multimedia Graphics Designer II to contribute to visual content across broadcast, video, digital, and marketing-communications platforms. You will create motion graphics and graphics packages for broadcast and digital series, promotional materials, digital assets, print materials, and visual design supporting other needs.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in graphic design, visual communication or related field with 3 years of professional graphic design experience across multiple platforms and formats.
  • Experience with motion graphics and design for video; ability to create visual concepts and deliverables for digital/print marketing and communications.
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, typography, layout, and brand application.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects).
  • Ability to interpret project goals, develop visual solutions, and incorporate feedback to revise work.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Description of Work

Nebraska Public Media is seeking a Multimedia Graphics Designer who contributes to the creation of visual content across the station’s broadcast, video, digital, and marketing-communications platforms. Projects include motion graphics and graphics packages for broadcast and digital series, promotional campaign materials, digital and social assets, print materials, and visual design supporting other organizational needs.


Working as part of the multimedia graphics team under the Art Director’s supervision, this position helps ensure visual work is creative, effective, and consistent with Nebraska Public Media’s brand.


Nebraska Public Media offers a full spectrum of communications services to the citizens of Nebraska, the nation and the world. Some of these services include a nine-station, statewide noncommercial public television network affiliated with PBS ; a nine-station, statewide noncommercial public radio network affiliated with NPR ; a cutting-edge Digital Media Group; and state-of-the‑art audio, video and multimedia production capability delivered via broadcast, satellite, cable, Internet and broadband delivery channels.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in graphic design, visual communication or a related field and three (3) years of professional graphic design experience across multiple platforms and formats, including experience with motion graphics and design for video, and creating and executing visual concepts and design deliverables for digital and print marketing/communications applications.
  • Additional years of relevant experience or completed relevant education may substitute for required education/experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Strong knowledge of graphic design principles, visual communication, typography, layout, and brand application.
  • Proficiency with professional design and motion graphics software, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects.
  • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality visual assets across multiple platforms and formats, including broadcast/video, motion graphics, digital, marketing and print.
  • Ability to interpret project goals and creative direction, develop effective visual solutions, and incorporate feedback to revise and refine work.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, organize work effectively, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency and quality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication or a related field.
  • Experience creating advanced broadcast graphics packages, show or series branding, or complex video compositing.
  • Experience developing visual campaigns specifically supporting fundraising, education or audience‑engagement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with collaborative creative workflows, including project intake, review, asset management and shared templates.
