Job summary

FedWriters, Inc. is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to support NUWC Keyport on a temporary 12-week assignment. You will create logos, banners, posters, name plates, and other visual materials for print and digital channels, plus photograph and videograph events.

The role blends design work with on-site and remote collaboration in a hybrid schedule across Keyport and Poulsbo, WA, requiring an eye for detail, strong production workflows, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of full-time graphic design experience
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required at time of application
• Experience with photography and videography, including live-event coverage
• Proficiency with industry-standard graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience with video/audio capture equipment and editing software
• Strong understanding of layout design principles and production workflows
• Prior experience supporting DoD, Navy, or other federal government clients
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control, ability to work independently and with a team

Responsibilities

• Design and produce day-to-day graphic materials (logos, banners, posters, name plates, etc.)
• Design and develop graphics and visual effects for print and digital materials
• Create high-quality illustrations, technical drawings, and animations
• Operate video/audio capture and editing equipment for multimedia presentations
• Apply layout design principles across production workflows
• Perform quality control and revisions on graphics development
• Provide photography and videography support for events (town halls, live streams)
• Coordinate with stakeholders to meet command standards and objectives
• Perform additional graphic design and multimedia duties as needed by the government POC
