University of Maryland, College Park is seeking a multimedia specialist to coordinate and produce video, audio, graphics, and photography for a department. You will manage production workflows, deliver course-related media, and ensure accessibility standards are met.

Organization's Summary Statement: This position is responsible for coordinating and producing multimedia resources, video, audio, graphics, and photography for a department or college. Coordinates production of multimedia resources. Produces course-related media for instructors. Implements a production process and evaluation protocol to measure success. Other duties as assigned. Preferences: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro) and other design or video tools (e.g., Canva, After Effects, Camtasia, or similar). Proficiency in GSuite and MS Office Suite, particularly Google Slides and PowerPoint Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards. Familiarity with STEM disciplines sufficient to translate technical content into clear visuals. Familiarity with Canvas or similar LMS preferred. Experience designing visuals for narrated or instructor-led videos preferred. Ability to be creative, flexible, and innovative in design while following accessibility standards. Experience in collaborating with teams and clients. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, self-direction, and self motivation. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of professional multimedia, communications or marketing experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education. Knowledge of multimedia. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments. Ability to multitask while demonstrating a commitment to customer service.
