Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana is seeking a Multimedia & Content Specialist to craft photography, video, and digital storytelling that brings our mission to life. The role blends hands-on production with creative direction, requiring strong organization and brand consistency.

You will shoot and edit content, design assets for social, email, and web, and collaborate across regional teams, events, and campaigns to inspire mentors and supporters.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional experience in multimedia production, content creation, graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related creative field.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photography and video at programs, events, schools, interviews, and community activities.
• Produce and edit short-form video, Reels, event recaps, testimonials, recruitment content, and longer-form impact stories.
• Design social graphics, digital ads, email and web assets, recruitment materials, event collateral, signage, presentations, and other branded content.
• Turn organizational stories and campaign priorities into engaging visual and multimedia content.
• Support social media execution by preparing, scheduling, and publishing approved content.
• Adapt creative across platforms, formats, audiences, and regional campaigns.
• Support photo and video shoots, including lighting, audio, interviews, shot planning, and B-roll.
• Collaborate with teams across Acadiana and Greater New Orleans to support recruitment, fundraising, programs, partnerships, and events.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for a Multimedia & Content Specialist to help bring our mission to life through photography, video, design, and digital storytelling.

This is a hands-on creative production role for someone who loves being both behind the camera and behind the computer. One day you might be capturing Bigs and Littles at a mentoring program or community event. The next, you could be editing a Reel, designing campaign graphics, or turning an interview into a story that inspires someone to become a mentor.

Working alongside our Director of Marketing & Creative, you'll help execute established marketing and creative strategies across Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater New Orleans.

What You'll Do

You'll help create the content that tells our story across social media, email, web, advertising, print, events, and more, including:

• Capture high-quality photography and video at programs, events, schools, interviews, and community activities.
• Produce and edit short-form video, Reels, event recaps, testimonials, recruitment content, and longer-form impact stories.
• Design social graphics, digital ads, email and web assets, recruitment materials, event collateral, signage, presentations, and other branded content.
• Turn organizational stories and campaign priorities into engaging visual and multimedia content.
• Support social media execution by preparing, scheduling, and publishing approved content.
• Adapt creative across platforms, formats, audiences, and regional campaigns.
• Support photo and video shoots, including lighting, audio, interviews, shot planning, and B-roll.
• Identify strong storytelling opportunities while working with our Bigs, Littles, families, partners, and staff.
• Organize and maintain photography, video, templates, and other creative assets.
• Collaborate with teams across Acadiana and Greater New Orleans to support recruitment, fundraising, programs, partnerships, and events.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a versatile creative who can take direction and turn an idea into polished content. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and jumping between different types of creative production.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• 2-4 years of professional experience in multimedia production, content creation, graphic design, marketing, communications, or a related creative field.
• Strong photography and videography skills.
• Video editing experience, particularly short-form and social-first content.
• Strong graphic design fundamentals, including typography, layout, composition, and brand consistency.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.
• Experience with Canva and other digital content creation tools.
• An understanding of content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
• Strong organization, project management, and digital asset management skills.
• The ability to connect with people and make youth, families, volunteers, and community members feel comfortable in front of a camera.

A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, multimedia, digital media, photography, video production, or a related field is preferred but not required.

A Little More About the Role

This position supports work across Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater New Orleans, so occasional regional travel will be required. You'll also need to be available for occasional evening and weekend programs or events when there are important moments to capture.

A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and successful completion of required background screening are required.
