Job summary

Blue Ridge Community College in North Carolina seeks a full-time Spanish faculty member (9-month contract) to teach in seated, hybrid, and online formats across multiple campuses and high schools as needed. A second discipline (e.g., French) is desired.

You will market, recruit, and retain students in transfer programs, advise, and participate in committees and accreditation activities. Masters in Spanish with relevant teaching experience and flexibility to work evenings/weekends is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Spanish or closely related field with 18 graduate hours in field.
• Preferred 18 extra hours in another foreign language or curriculum discipline.
• Minimum two years teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish courses across seated, hybrid, and online formats.
• Market, recruit, and retain students in college transfer programs.
• Advise students in degree programs and participate in committees and campus activities.
• Contribute to program planning, accreditation and institutional effectiveness initiatives.
