Responsibilities
Basic Function and Responsibility

Provides oversight and maintenance of operational and personnel activities within the Logistics Department to ensure efficient, cost-effective services for UMHS internal and external customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise processes in the Logistics Department; assign work to staff.
  • Prepare forms for personnel and payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with department, institutional policies, and regulatory codes; train team members accordingly.
  • Monitor productivity and control systems; communicate findings and improvements to management.
  • Implement and document training, education, and orientation programs using P.D.C.A. and LEAN principles, ensuring safety compliance.
  • Evaluate staff performance; initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Maintain supplies and tools for service provision.
  • Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to resolve service issues.
  • Maintain professional rapport with hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.
  • Handle employee complaints and grievances.
  • Interview, hire, and train new employees; monitor performance.
  • Conduct disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Participate in developing program proposals and reports.
  • Provide technical assistance and training in area of expertise.
  • Lead and participate in committees and teams.
  • Evaluate medical equipment and supplies; advise on purchases.
  • Assist in budget management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree plus 2 years supervisory experience, or 6+ years of supervisory or equivalent experience.
    • Strong work ethic, initiative, and commitment to quality and customer service.
    • Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
    • Participative management approach.
    • Understanding of budgeting, profit/loss concepts, and organizational policies.
    • Organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Ability to work under stress, weekends, and holidays; willing to work longer hours as needed.
