Job summary

Denton Floyd Real Estate Group is seeking an energetic Maintenance Technician for our Lexington, KY portfolio. You will handle day-to-day upkeep, repairs, and preventative maintenance under the Community Manager, with on-call responsibilities after hours.

Strong candidates have 2+ years in residential property maintenance and 1+ year plumbing experience, plus a solid electrical/mechanical aptitude and a focus on curb appeal. Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years residential property management, or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 1 year plumbing experience.
• HVAC or EPA Certificate preferred but not required; CPO is a plus.
• Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Working knowledge of drywall, key cutting, and fire extinguishers.
• An exceptional eye for curb appeal.
• Maintain a professional, courteous manner with residents, vendors, contractors, team members and Property Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day upkeep and repairs of the property under the Community Manager's direction.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, appliances, pools, painting, electrical, irrigation, and carpentry as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units and water heaters.
• Repair or replace light fixtures, switches, receptacles, smoke detectors, photocells, and thermostats.
• Unclog plumbing drains of all types and repair plumbing fixtures.
• Perform occupied work requests and apartment turns.
• Be available for on-call after-hours emergencies.
• Complete Make Ready Check Lists and report issues to management.
