Job summary

Independent Management Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our property portfolio in Michigan. The role focuses on resident service requests, preventive maintenance, and keeping grounds neat and safe.

You will handle reconditioning vacant units, basic repairs, painting, and ensuring 24/7 emergency response with the on-call team. A customer-first approach and own tools are required to perform daily tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Must be customer service oriented.
• Ability to prioritize work orders and projects.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must have own tools to perform job tasks.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance concepts (plumbing, repair, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Timely reconditioning of vacant units, including painting, basic repairs, and cleaning.
• Ensure property grounds are well-groomed and free of litter and unsightly garbage or clutter.
• Respond to all resident requests to ensure 24-hour emergency service.
• Monitor inventory and maintenance supplies; restock as needed.
• Support after-hours, weekend, and holiday on-call duties in rotation.
