Job summary

WIDMYER CORPORATION in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho seeks a Multifamily Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical integrity and appearance of a multifamily community through repairs, preventive maintenance, and responsive resident service.

The role requires hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair, plus snow plowing experience. You'll perform inspections, turnovers, emergency work, and safety/compliance tasks with management coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in apartment or facilities maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must successfully pass background check process.
• On-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform routine maintenance and repair in units and common areas.
• Tasks may include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, appliance repair, and more.
• Ensure timely completion of all assigned work orders and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including cleaning, painting, and repairing.
• Ensure units are ready on schedule and meet company standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours or weekend calls if on-call.
• Address safety hazards and mitigate damage in emergency situations.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations; maintain knowledge of OSHA and building code requirements; use PPE as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good condition; monitor inventory and request parts as needed.
