Job summary

Northland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for High Oaks, a 460-unit community in north Austin, TX. You will handle maintenance requests across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping while prepares apartments for move-ins.

You must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call duty and may travel to support other properties or trainings.

Qualifications

Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
All maintenance employees are required to have their own hand tools to carry out job functions - other power tools will be provided.
Travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, or to attend training classes.
Must be able to work nights, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of the on-call responsibility.

Responsibilities

Complete maintenance service requests and work orders including HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping.
Complete apartments turnovers for scheduled move-ins in a timely manner.
Handle after-hours emergency calls and be on-call as needed, including nights and weekends.
