Job summary

Northland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for High Oaks, a 460-unit community in north Austin, TX. You will handle maintenance requests across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping while prepares apartments for move-ins.

You must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call duty and may travel to support other properties or trainings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
• All maintenance employees are required to have their own hand tools to carry out job functions - other power tools will be provided.
• Travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, or to attend training classes.
• Must be able to work nights, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of the on-call responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests and work orders including HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping.
• Complete apartments turnovers for scheduled move-ins in a timely manner.
• Handle after-hours emergency calls and be on-call as needed, including nights and weekends.
