Job description

Cresten Property Management is looking for a well-organized self-starter that gets work done accurately and efficiently! This position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of a multi-family complex.

At a minimum, the ideal candidate will have the knowledge to:

  1. Use common hand and power tools. Tools may be provided by the company or employee.
  2. Inspect, test, diagnose, estimate costs, and repair building systems and equipment.
  3. Perform basic carpentry skills to repair and/or replace doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and woodwork.
  4. Perform light electrical repairs such as repairing appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuits.
  5. Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds, and locks.
  6. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
  7. Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and work with the onsite property manager to order parts and equipment.
  8. Estimate repair costs.
  9. Occasionally perform custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and window cleaning in common areas.
  10. Pick up trash in common areas and on the grounds as needed.
  11. Engage in seasonal work such as snow removal and yard care, including mowing and weeding.
  12. Keep accurate records of maintenance, work orders, refurbishments, inspections, inventories, and purchase orders.
  13. Periodically inspect units, building, and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial tasks.
  14. Have knowledge of water and gas meter cutoffs, sewer cleanouts, and posting maps of these utilities.
  15. Ensure storage areas and entrances are secure and adequately lit.
  16. Maintain pool safety and chemical levels; pool certification is a plus but not required.
  17. Assist other properties as needed.
