Cresten Property Management is looking for a well-organized self-starter that gets work done accurately and efficiently! This position will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of a multi-family complex.
At a minimum, the ideal candidate will have the knowledge to:
- Use common hand and power tools. Tools may be provided by the company or employee.
- Inspect, test, diagnose, estimate costs, and repair building systems and equipment.
- Perform basic carpentry skills to repair and/or replace doors, windows, drywall, flooring, and woodwork.
- Perform light electrical repairs such as repairing appliances, fixtures, switches, outlets, and circuits.
- Replace broken glass, tile, carpet, screens, garbage disposals, fixtures, appliances, blinds, and locks.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly and building systems operate efficiently.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and work with the onsite property manager to order parts and equipment.
- Estimate repair costs.
- Occasionally perform custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and window cleaning in common areas.
- Pick up trash in common areas and on the grounds as needed.
- Engage in seasonal work such as snow removal and yard care, including mowing and weeding.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, work orders, refurbishments, inspections, inventories, and purchase orders.
- Periodically inspect units, building, and common areas, performing repairs and janitorial tasks.
- Have knowledge of water and gas meter cutoffs, sewer cleanouts, and posting maps of these utilities.
- Ensure storage areas and entrances are secure and adequately lit.
- Maintain pool safety and chemical levels; pool certification is a plus but not required.
- Assist other properties as needed.
