Job summary

Midland Meyers is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on maintenance of apartments and common areas in accordance with company policies. The role emphasizes timely completion of service requests to ensure resident satisfaction and overall property upkeep.

You will respond to requests, prepare vacant units for move-in, and assist with groundskeeping and repairs while maintaining safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience as multifamily Maintenance Technician.
• EPA and CPO is preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner including preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including repairs or replacements.
• Ensure upkeep of community appearance including replacing lightbulbs, removing trash, painting, repairs, and more.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops.
• Identify safety hazards or hazardous conditions and address them or report to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, notices, inspections, and other tasks as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors.

Overview:

As a Maintenance Technician you will take the wheel performing hands-on maintenance including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartments and other interior/exterior areas in accordance with company policies and procedures. The ideal individual should ensure completion of assigned maintenance requests to ensure resident satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner including preventative maintenance
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in, including completing any necessary repairs or replacements
• Ensure upkeep of community appearance including but not limited to replacing lightbulbs, removing trash and litter, painting, performing repairs, and more
• Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shops
• Identify any issues regarding safety, hazardous conditions or maintenance needs in the community and correct them or report them to the Maintenance Supervisor
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping, distribution of notices, apartment inspections, and other tasks as needed
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents, guests, and vendors

What You'll Need:

• At least 2 years experience as multifamily Maintenance Technician
• EPA and CPO is preferred
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
• Must be willing to work in extreme weather such as heat, cold, rain, snow/ice
• Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays, as well as maintaining emergency on call rotation
• Must successfully pass a drug and background check
• Must have valid Driver's License
