Job summary

The Garrett Companies is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician at The Gallery in Aurora, CO. This full-time, non-exempt role focuses on timely service requests, preventive maintenance, and ensuring resident satisfaction.

You will perform routine repairs, coordinate with the leasing team, and support safety and city inspections, while maintaining a professional appearance and work ethic.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year working in multifamily maintenance.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Must provide own tools.
• Must have a valid driver's license and transportation for local travel.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to service requests and complete within 24 hours.
• Communicate effectively with residents to resolve concerns.
• Coordinate with leasing team to ready vacant units for move-in.
• Perform daily inspections of grounds and common areas.
• Assist in routine preventive maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structure.
• Support the Service Manager with audits and inspections.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Demonstrate basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair.
• Ensure OSHA and safety standards and environmental policies.
• Maintain professional appearance and wear uniform.
• Exhibit teamwork and positive relationships with residents and vendors.
• Stay current through training and hands-on development.
• Participate in after-hours emergency maintenance rotation.
• Perform pool maintenance and landscaping tasks as needed.
• Complete special projects as directed.
