Job summary

West Shore in Tampa, FL seeks a Maintenance Technician to help deliver high-quality living conditions and a welcoming atmosphere for residents. You will complete apartment make-readies, perform general maintenance, and care for pool areas while responding to service requests with a strong focus on quality work and customer service.

Responsibilities include preparing apartments for new residents, inspecting HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances; handling routine maintenance and work orders;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily properties preferred.
• Proficiency in general maintenance including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Pool certification (CPO) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Apartment Turnovers & Make-Readies: repair, paint, and ensure units meet high standards before move-in; inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances.
• General Maintenance & Work Orders: respond to resident requests and perform preventive maintenance, landscaping and lighting tasks.
• Painting: paint interior/exterior surfaces and maintain organized workspace and supplies.
• Pool Care: monitor pool chemical balance, cleanliness, and equipment; ensure safety for residents and guests.
• Safety & Compliance: follow safety procedures and report hazards to supervisor.
