Job summary

Z Modular in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Community Maintenance Technician to perform hands-on upkeep of a multifamily community. You will complete service requests, preventive maintenance, and ensure building systems run efficiently while prioritizing safety and resident satisfaction.

The role requires 2–5 years of maintenance experience, HVAC/plumbing/electrical knowledge, and OSHA awareness; EPA Type II/CPO certifications are preferred or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of general maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical knowledge required or preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal HVAC certification preferred or obtained within 90 days.
• CPO certification preferred or obtained within 90 days.
• OSHA safety training preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completing make-ready units per Z Modular standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting.
• Respond promptly to resident service and maintenance requests.
• Re-key locks and cut keys as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of property equipment.
• Maintain pool areas, including chemical balance and safety compliance.
• Identify and address safety hazards throughout the property.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, sidewalks, and amenities.
• Remove trash and debris and power wash surfaces as needed.
• Support landscaping upkeep by raking rocks and removing weeds.
• Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and materials.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service requests and material usage.
• Participate in the on-call maintenance rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Provide professional and courteous service to residents and team members.
• Collaborate with property management to support resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
