Job summary

Z Modular at Zekelman Industries is seeking a Community Maintenance Technician to support the FLATZ 602 community in Phoenix, AZ. You’ll handle daily maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and help keep multifamily properties safe and well‑maintained.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of general maintenance experience and relevant HVAC/plumbing/electrical certifications, with a focus on safety and quality. This role offers hands‑on work and opportunities to impact resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of general maintenance experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical vocational training preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal HVAC certification preferred or obtained within 90 days.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred or obtained within 90 days.
• OSHA safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with completing make-ready units per Z Modular standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, drywall repairs, and painting.
• Respond to resident service and maintenance requests.
• Re-key locks and cut keys as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain pools, including chemical balance and safety compliance.
• Identify and address safety hazards on the property.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and amenities.
• Assist with on-call maintenance rotation and emergency requests.
