Job summary

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team at Tuscany Square Apartments in Dallas. You will perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs to keep the property well‑maintained and ensure resident satisfaction.

We value hands‑on professionals who take pride in quality work, problem solving, and delivering excellent service. The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience and HVAC certification (or in progress).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably multifamily.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, or general maintenance experience.
• HVAC certification required or in progress.
• EPA certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Dependable, professional, and able to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Ability to commute within 20–30 minutes of the property.

Responsibilities

• Complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests
• Prepare apartment homes for new move-ins
• Perform preventative maintenance and property inspections
• Help maintain common areas and overall property appearance
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical solutions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-maintained community
• Participate in the rotational on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies
