BLT is seeking an experienced Painter to join our maintenance team at a luxury apartment complex in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the visual appeal of residential units and common areas through painting, patching, and surface preparation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience as a Painter in multifamily residential or commercial real estate.
• Proficiency in using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
• Strong attention to detail with color-matching skills.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move equipment.
• Knowledge of paint properties, finishes, and preparation techniques.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Interior Apartment Painting: detailed interior painting of apartments with surface prep.
• Surface Preparation: use drop cloths, priming, masking, and tape as needed.
• Light Maintenance Duties: assist maintenance with minor repairs and projects.
• Turnover Preparation: ensure apartments are ready for new move-ins with touch-ups.
• Orderly Work Area: keep workspace clean and organized; store tools after tasks.
• Work Order Management: monitor and fulfill work orders from supervisor or residents.
