Job summary

KENSINGTON SQUARE seeks a dual-skilled HVAC and General Property Maintenance Technician to care for multi-family properties. You will inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform a wide range of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and groundskeeping tasks to keep buildings safe, functional, and visually appealing.

With a high school diploma and HVAC certification, you’ll work on maintenance requests, adhere to codes, document work, and coordinate with property management.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification required and proven maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in varying weather.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps.
• Conduct preventive maintenance such as coil cleaning, filter replacement, lubrication, and refrigerant checks per manufacturer specifications.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and diagnose issues using diagnostic tools.
• Install new HVAC systems or components, adhering to building codes and regulations.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs as needed.
• Carry out carpentry tasks such as repairing doors, windows, and flooring.
• Evidence-based groundskeeping tasks including landscaping and snow/ice removal.
• Maintain safety and compliance by regular inspections and reporting hazards.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and communicate updates with management.
