Job summary

Red Tail Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at ReNew Madison in Wisconsin. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and appliance repairs, ensuring safety standards and resident satisfaction.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, be proficient in multiple trades, and hold or be pursuing EPA Universal and CPO certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years as a maintenance technician; multifamily experience preferred.
• Basic proficiency in two or more trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• EPA Universal and CPO certifications preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use property management software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building systems (HVAC, ventilation).
• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs.
• Service appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers).
• Complete light carpentry, drywall, and hardware repairs.
• Install and maintain flooring, cabinets, and countertops.
• Prepare units for occupancy and assist with seasonal maintenance.
• Inspect and clean common mechanical and storage areas.
