The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of accurately estimating construction costs for multifamily projects, as well as a thorough understanding of the construction process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in multifamily construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project scope.
• Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and budgets for each project phase.
• Identify potential cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain cost database and update pricing information as needed.
• Monitor project progress and provide cost updates to project team.
• Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review and negotiate change orders and manage cost impacts.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and changes in construction costs.
• Assist in developing and implementing cost control procedures.
• Communicate effectively with project team and clients regarding cost estimates and budgets.
