Job summary

Centurion Selection, LLC seeks a Development Manager to oversee multifamily projects from due diligence to lease-up, coordinating internal investment, construction and property management teams with architects, engineers, contractors, lenders and public agencies.

The role requires aligning financial plans, approvals and delivery schedules, identifying risks early and driving decisions across the full development cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience managing ground-up multifamily development projects through several stages of the development cycle.
• Strong understanding of entitlement, design coordination, construction delivery, development budgets and project schedules.
• Ability to review plans and consultant work, challenge assumptions and coordinate technical specialists. Hands-on CAD or Revit production is not required.
• Experience working with contractors, lenders, municipalities and cross-functional internal teams.
• Sound financial judgment, clear communication and the ability to manage several priorities without losing sight of critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage development schedules, budgets, cash flow forecasts and project reporting from predevelopment through stabilization.
• Lead due diligence on prospective sites, including zoning, utilities, environmental conditions, site constraints and development feasibility.
• Coordinate entitlement, permitting and agency approvals with legal counsel, consultants and local authorities.
• Manage architects and engineers through design development and construction documents, resolving scope, cost and constructability issues with the internal construction team.
• Review contractor pricing, support procurement and value engineering, and help negotiate contracts and major project commitments.
• Track development costs, contingencies, schedule risks and changes against the approved business plan.
• Coordinate lender draws, inspections, reporting and other financing requirements with the finance and construction teams.
• Maintain clear communication with ownership and internal stakeholders on progress, decisions, risks and financial performance.
• Work with construction and property management teams on completion, turnover, pre-leasing and the transition to operations.
