Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Certification Specialist to support site staff with affordable housing certifications and regulatory compliance. The role covers audits, eligibility verification, and timely certification submissions, with potential coverage for vacant positions.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in LIHTC/HUD programs, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong MS Office/Google Apps skills. A valid driver’s license is required and travel may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance in LIHTC, HUD, or related programs.
• High School diploma or equivalency required; college degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Affordable Housing/Tax Credit certification preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record and insurance meeting state requirements.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office, Google Apps, and property management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with property program compliance requirements including timely annual certification and agency reports.
• Conduct applicant/resident certification interviews and gather eligibility documents for third‑party audit.
• Timely processing of certification files and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain professional communication with onsite staff, regional managers, and compliance team.
• Support initial qualifying for new construction lease‑ups, re­syndications, and acquisitions/rehab.
• Overnight travel may be required; prioritize and adjust as needed.
