Asset Living is seeking a Certification Specialist for the Oak Grove Apts in San Jose to support site staff with certifications, audits, and compliance duties. The role includes assisting with eligibility interviews, document gathering, and coordinating with a third-party auditor.

Applicants should have 2+ years in affordable housing programs, a high school diploma (college degree preferred), valid driver's license, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with affordable housing programs and regulatory compliance.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required; college degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Affordable Housing/Tax Credit certifications preferred (e.g., C3P, HCCP, HCP-E, COS, TCS).
• Valid Driver's License and insurance; reliable vehicle.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office, Google Apps and property management software.

Responsabilités

• Assist with compliance requirements including annual certification process and agency reports.
• Conduct applicant/resident certification interviews and gather eligibility documents.
• Timely processing and updating of certification files.
• Maintain professional communication with onsite staff and Compliance team.
• Update internal tracking systems and respond to managers and compliance directors.
• Support initial qualifying process for new construction leases and property acquisitions.
