Job summary

Wellesley College is seeking a College Chaplain and Christian Life Coordinator to serve the spiritual needs of all students, with emphasis on Christian traditions. You will lead Protestant worship, coordinate Catholic mass, support interfaith initiatives, and guide multifaith programming across campus.

Responsibilities include pastoral care, crisis response, mentoring student leaders, supervising student workers, and managing ORSL communications and budget.

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity, Masters of Theological Studies, or other relevant master's degree or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Pastoral care and crisis response to students and campus community.
• Oversee Protestant worship and Catholic mass; lead major festival celebrations; host retreats.
• Sponsor interfaith and intercultural programs with clear learning objectives.
• Coordinate multifaith college traditions (Flower Sunday, Baccalaureate) and Orientation events.
• Advise Christian student groups; mentor leaders; support campus service initiatives.
• Oversee communications and budget for ORSL; participate in department meetings.
• Build connections with local Christian resources and advise college leadership.
• Supervise student workers and chaplaincy student orgs; hire/train staff.
• Demonstrate crisis response, mentoring, and leadership across diverse faith traditions.
