Job summary

National Security Agency (NSA) seeks Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) to analyze foreign language materials, transcribe, translate, and provide insights for SIGINT missions. MDLAs may participate in the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or be directly hired into analytic offices.

Applicants should have strong language proficiency, a relevant degree, and experience in intelligence or related fields.

Qualifications

• ILR 2/2 reading/listening in target language required.
• At least 1 year professional work in language or related fields (translation, transcription, analysis).
• ENTRY/DEVELOPMENTAL: HS diploma +4 yrs or AS degree +2 yrs; FULL PERFORMANCE/SENIOR as specified.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials.
• Research cultures and geopolitical context to inform SIGINT.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large data and disparate sources.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights.
• Work independently and with NSA/IC partners on research and reporting.
