Job summary

Affinity Home Health Care Inc. seeks an ICU nurse to provide direct patient care in a high-acuity setting. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing activities to deliver patient-centered care.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team, patients, and families to develop care plans, educate on disease management and medications, and promote safety and regulatory compliance. A career ladder supports growth and leadership.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required.
• Minimum nursing diploma or ADN; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Two years of critical care experience preferred; new graduates may apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multidisciplinary ICU caring for cardiac, emergency, medical, surgical and neurological patients.
• Develop and document individualized care plans with the healthcare team, patients and families.
• Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-treatment care.
• Promote safety, quality, and regulatory compliance through active participation in relevant activities.

Job description

Role: Provides direct patient care in the ICU, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing activities to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

• Participates in developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
• Educates patients and families on disease management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Promotes safety, quality, and regulatory compliance through active participation in relevant activities.
• Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers.
• Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of a Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• RN licensure required.
• At least two years of critical care experience preferred; new graduates may qualify.
