Job summary

NAVAIR in Cherry Point, NC is seeking an Interdisciplinary Engineer (Aerospace / Electronics / Mechanical) to provide technical decisions and engineering guidance to MRO engineering, Production and Fleet Support teams, and to FRCE inspections.

The role emphasizes cross-agency coordination, development of new processes where no precedent exists, and daily customer communication to resolve measurement and manufacturing issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical decisions, engineering advice to MRO engineering / Production and Fleet Support Teams.
• Provide instructions to inspect, calibrate, or measure components at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE).
• Communicate with other government agencies, contractor personnel, and sources to obtain required information.
• Develop processes, procedures or programs for which no precedence exists.
• Communicate daily with customers to assess customer needs and help resolve measurement/manufacturing issues.
