KP Staffing is now hiring Multidirectional Forklift Operators in Rhome, Texas. The role moves and stores materials in a steel manufacturing setting, operating multidirectional forklifts and ensuring safe material flow.
Pay ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 per hour with 1st Shift duties. Requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of forklift experience, and forklift certification. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential.
The Multidirectional Forklift Operator will safely and efficiently move and store materials throughout a steel manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating multidirectional or side-loader forklifts to transport long and oversized materials while maintaining safe material flow throughout the facility.
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
1st Shift
Safely operate multidirectional forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials
Move steel, lumber, fabricated components, and other long or oversized materials
Maneuver bulky materials through narrow aisles and confined areas
Perform daily pre-shift forklift inspections
Report equipment or maintenance issues to supervisors
Assist with inventory control, order picking, and staging materials for production or shipment
Maintain accurate material movement records using scanners or inventory systems
Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures
Use required PPE and follow proper load securement procedures
Coordinate with production, shipping, and supervisory teams to maintain efficient material flow
Communicate material locations, shortages, and workflow updates
High school diploma or GED required
1–3 years of experience operating multidirectional, side-loader, or 4-directional forklifts in a warehouse, steel yard, or manufacturing environment
Forklift certification, multidirectional or equivalent, required
Experience safely maneuvering long or oversized materials
Knowledge of safe material-handling practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience handling beams, pipes, lumber, or similar long materials preferred
Familiarity with inventory systems or barcode scanners preferred
Additional material-handling or heavy-equipment certifications preferred
Must be able to pass required background check, drug screening, physical, audiogram, and vision test
This position works on the shop floor and yard and may involve outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to typical manufacturing conditions including noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.
