Case Western Reserve University is seeking a Multicultural Specialist to provide developmentally appropriate mental health services to students within UHCS, in an integrated care model on campus.

The role emphasizes serving marginalized populations, performing crisis management, and delivering training to staff and trainees while adhering to ethical guidelines and privacy regulations.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years professional experience in mental health care, including clinical experience from pre-doctoral training.
• Doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology required; must be licensed or license-eligible in Ohio and licensed within 18 months of start date.
• Experience with adolescent/young adult populations and/or university settings preferred.
• Demonstrated multicultural, training, and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct counseling and mental health services to students and staff within the established counseling model (same-day appointments, crisis management, workshops, individual and group sessions).
• Coordinate outreach and programming on mental health and wellness for diverse student populations.
• Provide training and supervision to trainees and foster culturally informed care.
• Support supervision of pre-professional graduate trainees as assigned.
