Job summary

The Ohio State University in Columbus seeks a Psychologist within the Student Life | Counseling and Consultation unit. The clinician will establish and maintain a clinical presence at Buckeye Commons, providing brief individual, couples, and group counseling to students and delivering diagnostic assessments and triage services.

Regular evenings, in-person service with TeleHealth options, and flexible hours are anticipated.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
• Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Ohio within 18 months of hire.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• DOCTORAL DEGREE IN CLINICAL OR COUNSELING PSYCHOLOGY. LICENSED AS A PSYCHOLOGIST in the State of Ohio within 4 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief individual, couples, and group counseling to university students.
• Provide diagnostic assessments in the form of Diagnostic Evaluations and triage screenings.
• Provide psychotherapeutic services for problems related to development, stress, academics, interpersonal concerns, and other mental health symptomology.
• Provide case management in consultation with Counseling and Consultation Service staff; participate in professional development and follow departmental policies.
• Promote mental health resources, address stigma, and conduct psychoeducational workshops.
