Job summary
Modern Machining Solutions Inc in Hastings, MI is seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician to join our maintenance team. The role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable operation of industrial equipment through mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and support for PLC-based systems.
Candidates should have a strong background in multicraft maintenance, read mechanical drawings and schematics, and work with cross-functional teams to diagnose
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience in machine repair, industrial maintenance, or multicraft maintenance preferred.
- Journeyperson certificate or documented hours preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and automation-related equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery and diagnose faults.
- Install, relocate, and commission new equipment; maintain utilities connections.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
- Document maintenance activities in CMMS and communicate downtime/relability concerns.
- Ensure safety devices and guards are installed and functional.
- Work with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to root-cause failures.
