Job summary

Zaddy Solutions, a global manufacturing client, seeks a skilled Machine Repair Technician to join its Hastings, Michigan maintenance team. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, with PLC-related troubleshooting and involvement in commissioning new equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Journeyperson certification or documented experience preferred.
• Multicraft maintenance experience in manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and automation-related failures.
• Troubleshoot low- and high-voltage electrical systems, including motors, sensors, relays, contactors, switches, control panels, and power-distribution components.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Install, level, relocate, and assist with commissioning of production machinery.
• Support upgrades, retrofits, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS.
