Job summary

Air Liquide is hiring a Maintenance Technician I for our Seppic Richmond site in Virginia. The role focuses on high-level upkeep of the facility, performing repairs on utilities and production equipment, and coordinating preventative maintenance while adhering to GMP standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• 2+ years experience in a chemical manufacturing technician role.
• Certificate in HVAC or Journeyman's card (license).
• Position located in Sandston VA (near Richmond).
• Ability to read technical documentation (P&ID's, manuals, etc.).
• NFPA 70E certification.
• MEWP certification (boom lift, scissor lift).
• Forklift certification.
• Physically capable of wearing a respirator and able to work overtime/on-call.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform repairs of utilities: steam boiler/equipment, condensate, cooling water, air compressor/dryer and other equipment.
• Repair Production and Facility equipment including pumps, valves, gearboxes, HVAC components, and related systems.
• Coordinate maintenance with equipment area owners and document activities.
• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures; provide training to other technicians.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance as assigned (oil changes, belt changes, lubrication, inspections).
• Adhere to GMP policies; maintain inventory systems and request needed items.
• Fabrication tasks: cutting, forming/bending, welding, assembly and finishing.
