Job summary

Kellanova’s Zanesville plant is seeking a Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic for the Overnight Shift (5pm–5am, 2-2-3 12-hour schedule with every other weekend off). You’ll troubleshoot mechanical components and support the Reliability team to keep our plant running smoothly, with a pay rate starting at $37.17 per hour plus shift differential.

You will work on electrical systems, pneumatic and hydraulic machinery, and fabrication tasks, collaborating with a diverse team to continuously improve

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience performing mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to work with PLC controls and automation components.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring Performance Efficiency – responding to equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, fixing defects and performing break-down elimination.
• Preventative Maintenance – inspecting equipment, lubricating, performing oil analysis, IR imaging, ultrasonic testing, motor amp readings and temperature checks.
• Safely Execute – following all safety, health and quality procedures to drive production.
• Provide Top Notch Customer Service – communicating with plant stakeholders to resolve issues with urgency.

Do you have a natural knack for working with your hands and troubleshooting mechanical components? Join us as aMulti-CraftMaintenance Mechanic in your Zanesville plant and be a part of a world-classReliabilityteam! You'll collaborate with an upbeat, hard-working, and diverse team to keep our plant running smoothly, and continuously improve our machinery and maintenance department. This is an Overnight Shift position, 5pm-5am working on a 2-2-3 12-hour schedule with every other weekend off. The position starts at a rate of $37.17 with shift differential.

On our Reliability team, you will have the opportunity to work on electrical systems, pneumatic equipment, hydraulic machinery, and even fabrication tasks.

You will collaborate closely with other team members - together, we keep our production lines running efficiently. Join us where no two days are the same and learning something new is a regular occurrence.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensuring Performance Efficiency – Managing machine performance byresponding to equipment breakdowns, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, finding-fixing defects, and conducting Break Down Elimination on failures.
• Preventative Maintenance – Equipment inspections, lubrication, oil analysis, IR Electrical imaging, Ultra-sonic testing, Motor Amp readings, temperature measurements and time based rebuilds.
• Safely Execute – Understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, and quality procedures to drive forward production.
• Provide Top Notch Customer Service – Establishing rapport with business partners across the plant floor to solve problems with a strong sense of urgency with a common goal.

We’re Looking for Someone With

• Effective communication, basic computer software knowledge, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Sitting, standing, walking, lifting (50lbs), and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day
• Previous experience as a mechanic in a food manufacturing setting
• Experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on packaging and processing equipment
• Skills working with electronic controls, PLC’s, VFD’s, Servo Motors,
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Previous metal fabrication and/or machining experience
