Job summary

Walmart Maintenance Technician in Mississippi performs preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures, inspecting and repairing with multiple crafts. You will manage work orders, maintain logs, and ensure safety compliance with OSHA/EPA standards.

Responsibilities include on-call support, major/minor repairs, and equipment testing. The role requires certifications or 2–4 years in plumbing, electrical, or related fields, plus valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures.
• Inspect, clean, and repair equipment and fixtures; document wear and replacement needs.
• Perform major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Operate, test, dismantle, and reassemble equipment; use blueprints and manuals.
• Lead and participate in teams; manage work orders and maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations; maintain safe operations.
• Respond to on-call incidents and support issue resolution as needed.
