Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking an NC Miller #1 to operate and set up multiaxis NC/CNC milling centers in Saco, ME. You will perform various machining operations on metal castings, forgings, and bar stock while following military specs and quality documents.

The role requires four years of technical training and proficiency with CNC controls, with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and adherence to process instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate degree is preferred.
• Over four years of technical training and experience in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledgeable about computerized CNC control systems and tool wear effects.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up multiaxis NC/CNC milling centers.
• Perform set-ups and minor changeovers on repetitive work.
• Verify tolerances with gages and fixtures and document results.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping per company policies.
