Job summary

Stout NYC Hospitality Group seeks an experienced Service Manager to oversee day-to-day food & beverage service at The MC Hotel in Montclair, NJ. The MC Hotel encompasses Allegory, Splendid, and banquet/catering operations across multiple venues.

You will lead daily operations, ensure guest satisfaction, and coordinate with hotel departments to execute private events with high standards of quality, hygiene and compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of restaurant management experience in a high-volume setting.
• Experience working in a multi-venue establishment preferred.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• Good understanding of useful computer programs (Toast, OpenTable, Harri, Canva).
• Experience running and managing banquet & catering events, preferably in a hotel environment.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations including cleanliness, organization, revenue opportunities and staffing.
• Provide exceptional guest service, thereby setting the standard for all employees.
• Train, coach and develop all front-of-house employees through ongoing feedback and the establishment of performance expectations.
• Ensure restaurant and bar is in complete compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations.
• Organizing and supervising the shifts of hourly front of house staff.
• Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
• Work cooperatively with other hotel departments, including front desk, events/sales, housekeeping, engineering, etc.
• Ensure strong execution of private events in the hotel's various venues and spaces.
