Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Multi-Unit Traveling General Manager to advise and participate in the day-to-day operations and financial success of large multi-unit dining locations.

In this role you will uphold contract guidelines, Health Department regulations, and company standards for food quality, freshness, and presentation while traveling to sites as needed to drive results.

Qualifications

Six or more years of operational food service management experience.
Knowledge of food and catering trends with focus on quality and cost controls.
Strong leadership abilities with staff development experience.
Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays; ServSafe Certified.

Responsibilities

Maintain client and customer happiness by ensuring food quality and customer service standards are met consistently.
Supervise hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold service and quality.
Prepare daily, weekly, and financial reports including food and labor costs.
Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards for customer health and safety.
Build strong client relationships and align programs with client objectives.
Travel as needed to support account needs in the area.

Job Summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated individual for the role of Multi-Unit Traveling General Manager. In this role, you will advise and participate in the day-to-day operations and financial success of large multi-unit dining locations. This includes adhering to contract guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, company standards, and expectations of food quality, freshness, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain client and customer happiness by ensuring food quality and customer service standards are met consistently.
Supervise the hiring, training, and development of staff to uphold excellence in service and food quality.
Prepare and complete all vital daily, weekly, and financial reports, including those related to food and labor costs.
Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety standards to guarantee the health and safety of our customers.
Champion strong client relationships to align our programs with their objectives, driving happiness and retention.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of dining operations.
Travel as need to support account needs in area.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate degree preferred but not required.
Six or more years of operational food service management experience.
Knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
Strong leadership abilities with validated experience in supervising and developing staff.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize optimally.
Outstanding customer service skills with a dedication to maintaining high standards of quality.
Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be experienced with computers.
ServSafe® Certified.
