The State of Missouri is seeking an entry level Maintenance and Grounds Technician to support the Office of Administration, Division of Facilities Management, Design, and Construction (OA-FMDC). You will contribute to grounds upkeep, light trades work, and various building projects across facilities, with room for long-term career growth and solid benefits.

This role involves manual labor, operating equipment, responding to emergencies, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

No degree required; lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration.
Successful background checks are required for employment.
Valid driver's license from Missouri or adjacent state if residing outside Missouri.

Responsibilities

Perform manual labor including receiving, handling, transportation and storage of building materials, furniture, equipment and supplies.
Operate machinery and heavy equipment as needed for projects.
Maintain grounds for buildings including horticultural care, debris and trash disposal, snow removal and salt application.
Assist in parking lot cleaning, patching and painting asphalt.
Perform light electrical, plumbing, drywall repairs and painting.
Respond to emergency calls and cover facilities as needed to ensure safety and readiness.
Complete work orders timely and accurately under supervision.
