Minimum 6 years of facility maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Supervised by Plant Maintenance Supervisor, exercising direction for mechanical and standard work.
Repairs, overhauls and services mechanized equipment (e.g., hoists, elevators, conveyors, mobile equipment, high lifts).
Perform carpentry work in construction, repair or modify structures, cabinets, scaffolds, shelves, offices, jogs, fixtures, etc.
Use brushes and spray guns in painting interiors and exteriors, equipment, including preparation of surfaces and mixing paints.
Install and maintain utility lines for gas, water, air, etc., including general plumbing work.
Install, move, repair and maintain mechanical and electronic selecting devices.
Remove, install, repair and check plant mechanical devices and equipment.
Cut, brazes and weld various metals used on construction of forms, guard rails, catwalks, runways, stairs.
Inspect plant equipment and follow preventative maintenance program.
Perform vibration calibration and testing.
Inspect mechanical components of vehicles/equipment to identify problems.
Order materials, supplies or equipment.
Develop equipment or component configurations.
Read technical information needed to perform maintenance or repairs.
Troubleshoot equipment or system operation problems.
Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.
Record information about parts, materials or repair procedures.
Remove snow.
Lay out work according to specifications.
Plan work procedures.
Measure distances or dimensions.
Install and/or repair heating, ventilation or air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.
Fabricate parts or components.
Train others in operational procedures.
