Pick Your Part Southeast LLC is seeking a Tax Associate to support our tax and compliance functions across multiple states. The role involves assisting with sales tax compliance, exemption certificate management, balance sheet reconciliations, and licensing activities, while collaborating with accounting and third-party providers.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer exemption certificates and ensure proper documentation is retained and updated.
• Assist with the preparation, review, and filing of sales and use tax returns across multiple jurisdictions.
• Research and resolve sales tax notices, discrepancies, and account issues.
• Monitor tax compliance requirements and support the implementation of process improvements.
• Work with internal departments to ensure accurate tax treatment of transactions.
• Process and track real property tax and personal property tax payments, and maintain records.
