Job summary

The TJX Companies is seeking a Construction Project Manager for Southern California, overseeing new store construction across multiple states including California, Arizona and Nevada. You will coordinate with landlords, architects, general contractors and planning departments, travel for QA checks, and support TJX brands from TJMaxx to Sierra stores.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s in Construction Management, 6+ years of PM experience, and proficiency with MS Office, Adobe, and Lucernex.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent.
• 6+ years of construction project management experience.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe and Project experience.
• Basic construction management software abilities (Lucernex).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough knowledge of construction trades, building codes and methods.
• Strong project management skills from planning through occupancy.
• Ability to work in ambiguity and think strategically.

Responsibilities

• Maintain New Store Construction Progress schedule and updates with landlords, architects and contractors.
• Manage construction of new stores, track deals, push to meet schedule and assist in issue resolution.
• Oversee remodels and special projects, ensure safety, quality and compliance.
• Provide construction updates to Construction Department and Field Operations.
• Travel as needed for progress and QA checks.
• Handle budgets and change orders.
• Support store operations with timing access for new stores and remodels.
