Tailwind Hospitality, Inc. is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Finance & Accounting team in Wilmington, NC.

The role handles biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing using ADP Workforce Now. The Payroll Specialist will support multi-location payroll operations across states, maintain employee data, and ensure wage-hour compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll, accounting, HR, or administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-state payroll strongly preferred.
• Understanding of wage and hour laws and tax regulations.
• Hospitality, restaurant, airport, or retail payroll experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, ADP, and TEAMWORK is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Processing and Administration
• Assist Payroll Manager in processing biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple locations and states
• Review timecards, labor reports, payroll adjustments, tips, bonuses, and deductions for accuracy
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, missed punches, and employee inquiries
• Maintain payroll spreadsheets, Google Sheets trackers, and reporting documentation
• Support audits and prepare payroll documentation and reports as requested
• Ensure confidentiality and security of employee payroll information
• Support year-end payroll processing including W-2 preparation and filing
