Job summary

Sun Communities is seeking an Insurance Specialist to quote, issue, service, and retain property and casualty policies across states. You will work with clients and carriers to deliver coverage solutions, process policy transactions, and maintain accurate documents.

You will educate customers on options, manage documentation via NetSuite/DocuSign/Microsoft Office, and pursue new business while supporting retention and renewals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years in customer service preferred.
• 2 years in sales preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Strong organizational skills and detail orientation.
• Ability to work well with others inside and outside the company.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Property & Casualty Insurance license within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Identify needs and quote, present, sell, service, and retain property and casualty insurance policies and home-warranty products.
• Educate customers about products, coverage options, premiums, and required documentation.
• Receive, process, maintain, and organize insurance documents and carrier information.
• Maintain records in the Insurance & Warranty Dashboard in NetSuite and other tracking systems.
• Generate new business by following up on leads and cross-selling products.
• Research customer concerns and resolve policy issues within authority.
• Assist with organizing office records and records management.
• Partner with Marketing to develop insurance-related promotional materials.
