Job summary

Town of Parker is seeking an on-site sports official to oversee multiple leagues, including baseball, basketball, soccer, and more. The role focuses on fair play, safety, and accurate rule enforcement across events.

You will start games on time and coordinate with the Sports Supervisor to confirm scores. Requirements include being at least 16 and prior officiating or related experience, plus concussion training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age and have prior experience as a player, coach, instructor and/or official.
• Concussion recognition training is required within ninety (90) days of hire and must be renewed annually.

Responsibilities

• Officiates assigned sporting events with fairness and respect to players and spectators.
• Maintains a safe and fun environment; promotes positive sportsmanship.
• Judges performances to award points, penalties, and determine results.
• Arrives before events and starts games on time.
• Inspects equipment, participants, and field conditions for safety compliance.
• Verifies game scores with the onsite Sports Supervisor.
• Resolves rule infractions or complaints and reports actions taken.
• Imposes disciplinary actions such as ejections and writes incident reports.
