Job summary

City of Sunny Isles Beach is seeking a part-time youth sports coach to guide players and teams during practices and competitive events, indoors or outdoors. This support role emphasizes safe, engaging coaching and positive interactions with participants and families.

Responsibilities include creating daily lesson plans, teaching fundamentals, enforcing rules, communicating with parents, and maintaining equipment and records. CPR/First Aid certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work well with children and provide engaging activities.
• Willingness to follow supervision and take direction.
• Ability to plan and organize age-appropriate lessons.

Responsibilities

• Coaches, mentors and oversees growth of players or teams.
• Prepares and implements age-appropriate lesson plans for daily programs.
• Instructs fundamentals, rules and skills for the sport.
• Enforces park rules and safety regulations.
• Communicates program expectations to parents and players.
• Tracks attendance and reports participation.
• Attends practices, games and tournaments as assigned.
• Maintains equipment and records; administers first aid if needed.
