Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform vascular and general ultrasound studies on diverse patient groups. The role operates under the Vascular Lab Clinical Manager and Radiologist, applying ultrasound techniques with autonomy to support radiologic diagnosis.
Candidates must hold RVT/RVS registrations and ARDMS credentials, with Abdomen or OB/GYN registrations required within one year of hire; a diploma from a ultrasound program is needed.
Performs both vascular and general diagnostic Ultrasound procedures on adult, geriatric, pediatric and adolescent patients. Performs vascular Ultrasound procedures under the direction of the Vascular Lab Clinical Manager. Preforms general Ultrasound procedures under the direction of a Radiologist and/or the Ultrasound Clinical Coordinator. Must perform variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed sound waves for radiologic diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
